After living here for quite sometime, i still cant figure out which christmas I like best. Norway had something different form Uganda and Danmark which was snow and thats the white christmas if the Norwegians had been good that year hahhahha. Most africans hate snow and for me thats the opposite. White christmas, family , baking and painting ... life cant get better than that. Ugandan christmas is different to the danish one, its all about food and how many family memebers are coming. I remember when i was young, i was so much looking forword to christmas because my mom was good at inviting the rest of her family to come to our home.I was more looking forward to seeing my cousins and nieces who were my agemates. the day would be spend on playing , cooking food and having fun. Christmas in Uganda is the 25 dec, so the 23 dec was decorating the house and the tree for my sister and I . I remember my mom always bought some take away that after we were done, we sat together and ate as we talked about who we wanted to invite.

Besides family, the most thing i miss from Ugandan christmas is giving the others who can't afford a good meal during Christmas and the extra mile of making someone really happy and grateful. I think scandinavian christmas is amazing, the traditions most families have but i think the presents are not all thought. Its about wishing and getting.
